Elan 
Slavin

Élan Slavin, is daughter-in-law to Ted Slavin and wife to Matt Slavin, and is a founding member on the Board of Trustees of the Ted Slavin Family Foundation. She received her BSW from San Francisco State University and her MSW from the University of Southern California. Having been raised in a Jewish household, Élan is guided by the moral and cultural values of her faith, which have shaped her career and personal life. Devoted to her communities, she has dedicated her professional life to serving others. In her career as a Social Worker for over 20 years, Élan has worked to support medically fragile children and their families of all socio-economic backgrounds, in both hospitals and private not-for-profit organizations. Élan is passionate about organizations whose mission it is to create equal access to healthcare, education, housing, and participation in the arts. Outside of her work, Élan prioritizes spending time with her family, browsing independent bookstores, being a phenomenal chef for her grateful kids, and being an incredible mom and friend.
