Slavin
Matt Slavin is son to Ted Slavin and a founding member on the Board of Trustees of the Ted Slavin Family Foundation. Matt has earned his BA in Mass Communications from Menlo College and an MA in Sports Management from the University of San Francisco, and is a Certified College Counselor. Over nearly two decades, he has dedicated his career to higher education, collaborating with numerous non-profit organizations in the Bay Area that aim to provide equal access to education for students in underprivileged and underserved communities. Driven by his unwavering passion for offering deserving students the education and opportunities they deserve, Matt embarked on his own venture in the form of a non-profit organization called Filling the Gaps.
Through this initiative, he awarded grants and secured funding to support students in their pursuit of a college education. Matt's philanthropic endeavors primarily revolve around fostering access, creating opportunities, and providing support to young individuals across the United States. Enthusiastically embracing the chance to empower America's youth, Matt aspires to equip them with the necessary tools and opportunities to flourish as active contributors to society. Matt is a dedicated fan of Bay Area sports teams, including the teams of his own family members. He is THE family man, and relishes his time exercising, listening to his favorite music and podcasts, and has a particular knowledge of movie scores and pop culture.
